Biblical Love

Here’s a poetic reflection on Biblical Love:

What is this love, so pure, so true,
A love divine, that bids us pursue?
Not fleeting like the morning dew,
But steadfast, faithful, ever new.

It flows from God, the source of grace,
A love that lights the darkest place.
Not bound by merit, worth, or name,
But given freely, just the same.

Love is patient, love is kind,
It seeks no gain, no pride confined.
It bears all things, believes the best,
Through storms and trials, it finds its rest.

A love that lays itself aside,
That sacrifices, though denied.
For greater love no man can show,
Than one who dies for friend or foe.

It calls us higher, beyond the skies,
To love our neighbor, enemies despise.
To bless, forgive, to heal, to mend,
A love that never knows an end.

This love is truth, this love is light,
It conquers fear, it shines so bright.
And though all else may fade away,
This love eternal will always stay.

So walk in love, let mercy reign,
Through joy, through sorrow, loss, or pain.
For God is love, and we are His,
The crown of life, the hope of bliss.
