Poem, The Sinners Prayer

The Sinner’s Prayer

O Lord, my heart is burdened, weak,
In sin’s deep shadow, peace I seek.
I come to You, in humble plea,
Have mercy, Lord, and set me free.

I’ve walked the path of pride and shame,
Turned from Your love, ignored Your name.
Yet now I bow, my soul laid bare,
Redeem me with Your tender care.

Forgive my sins, both great and small,
I trust Your grace to cover all.
Through Jesus’ blood, my debt is paid,
By His great love, I’m not afraid.

O Jesus, Savior, King divine,
I give You all, my heart is Thine.
Come dwell within, my life renew,
And guide me as I follow You.

Teach me to walk in ways of light,
To stand for truth, to fight the fight.
Your Spirit’s power, my hope, my stay,
Until I reach eternal day.

Thank You, O Lord, for hearing me,
For love unearned, for setting me free.
Forever Yours, in faith I’ll stand,
Held gently in Your nail-scarred hand.

Amen.
